The phrase “someone’s thunder” comes from the theater – but not a famous line from a bard – a stolen special effect!  In the early 1700s, a new sound effect swept theaters uncredited, and the phrase to steal someone’s thunder was born.

Isn’t that the way with art? Who cares where it’s from – if it makes us feel, we want more of it – in different ways – again and again!
